In season now · May – Oct

Third weekend in May through the second Monday in October. Day use is limited, and the gate closes when parking fills.

$29 boat rental, 1 day

Umiak Outdoor Outfitters in Stowe, 2026 one-day rentals $29–$89; the park itself doesn’t rent boats

Quiet-lake rules and 27 paddle-in campsites.

A 653-acre reservoir with about 19 miles of undeveloped shoreline, managed to stay wild: only paddle craft and electric motors up to 5 mph, and every campsite is reached by boat, some one to two miles from the launch. It’s one of Vermont’s best-known paddle-in camping trips. The park rents no boats, so bring your own or rent in Stowe, and book sites early; parking is limited and first come, first served.
