Trail network in Stowe

~10 mi little River & Cotton Brook

In season now · May – Oct

Trails open once they dry out in spring; check the conditions page within 24–36 hours of rain. Fat biking in winter.

Free trail access

Stowe Trails Partnership trails are free; a $10 day donation is suggested. The Trapp Family Lodge network needs its own trail pass.

Free flow and tech singletrack from Stowe village.

The Stowe Trails Partnership looks after several trail pods around town. Cady Hill Forest is the hub, with 23 trails and about 11 miles of bermed flow and old-school roots a short ride from the village and the Rec Path; Adams Camp links to the Trapp Family Lodge network, and Sterling Forest feels remote and rugged. Riding is free, and it suits intermediate riders and families who want a base with good food and beer.
