Shady creekside camping in Oak Creek Canyon.

One of Coconino National Forest’s most popular campgrounds, in shady ponderosa pines along Oak Creek about 12 miles north of Sedona, with many sites right on the stocked trout stream. Slide Rock is down the road and Flagstaff is half an hour up the canyon. Sites and roads are tight, so it suits tents, vans and small trailers better than big rigs.
