1 Christmas and New Year’s event

New Year’s Eve torchlight parade and fireworks

Two mountains, Castlerock steeps and a valley of inns.

Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen are linked by the Slide Brook Express, with classic New England trails, Castlerock’s expert terrain and the wild Slide Brook Basin between them. The Mad River Valley around it is full of inns, breweries and good restaurants. It’s on the Ikon Pass, and a $99 advance ticket makes 2026-27 good value.
