Tug Hill lake-effect powder on a 500-foot hill.
Snow Ridge sits on the eastern edge of the Tug Hill Plateau, where Lake Ontario’s lake-effect bands bring about 230 inches a year, among the most in the East. The vertical is short, but glades, the Snow Pocket and deep storm days make it a favorite of New York powder hunters. Turin is also a snowmobiling hub, and the hill is on the Indy Pass.
