Elk meadows and the park’s only winter campground.

Moraine Park is Rocky Mountain’s biggest campground, on a pine hillside above a meadow where elk gather, especially during the fall rut. A summer reservation includes timed entry for the Bear Lake Road corridor, and the free park shuttle stops inside the campground. From October 19, 2026 it switches to first-come winter camping as the only campground open in the park.
