State-run, steep and windy at 4,080 feet.
A state-owned ski area in Franconia Notch with the highest summit (4,080 ft) and longest vertical (2,180 ft) in New Hampshire. Expect steep, narrow, old-school New England trails, real wind and ice on cold days, and a separate Tuckerbrook family area for beginners. The Aerial Tramway retired in October 2025 and a new tram is still in planning, so there are no tram rides this winter.
