What skiers love

  • Quiet slopes and short lines compared with Tahoe
  • A manageable size with good beginner and intermediate runs
  • Upper-mountain snow that holds up through the season

Heads-up

  • Cramped lodge, slow food lines and tight parking on weekends
  • Expert and lower runs need big snow and avalanche work to open
