Canoe-camping on motor-free Laurentian lakes.
La Mauricie has about 150 lakes, no motorboats and a parkway that puts a canoe within reach of thirty of them. Lac Wapizagonke is the classic: rent a canoe for an afternoon at the Wapizagonke or Shewenegan picnic areas, or reserve a backcountry site and paddle in for a few nights. It suits families and first-time canoe campers as much as experienced trippers.
