Cliff-walled fjord paddling, with belugas downstream.

Québec’s great fjord cuts between steep rock walls on its way to Tadoussac, protected on land by the national park and on the water by the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park. Families take short guided outings from Baie-Éternité or L’Anse-Saint-Jean; skilled sea kayakers plan multi-day trips between 13 primitive shoreline campsites. Tides, wind and cold water rule here, and canoes are not allowed on the fjord.
