Camp among giant boulders in the heart of Joshua Tree.

A big desert campground tucked between huge rounded boulders in the middle of Joshua Tree, at 4,380 ft. Kids and climbers scramble straight from their sites, Skull Rock is a short walk away, and the night skies are dark. There’s no water and no hookups, only vault toilets, so arrive stocked, and aim for October through May.
