Pines on the rim, a short walk from the hoodoos.
North Campground is across the road from the Bryce Canyon visitor center, with the Rim Trail and Fairyland Loop a few minutes’ walk through the ponderosas. Loops A and B take RVs and stay open through most of the year; C and D are tent loops that close in freezing weather. At nearly 8,000 feet the nights are cold even in summer, and the park’s dark skies and astronomy programs are a big part of the draw.
