Trail network in Fruita

1,800 ft 18 Road climb

In season now · Mar – Nov

Spring and fall are prime. Summer is for sunrise rides. Never ride the clay when it’s wet; ruts last all season.

Free trail access

18 Road and the Kokopelli Loops are free BLM trails.

Desert flow at 18 Road, canyon rims at Kokopelli.

Two classic desert trail systems sit 15 minutes apart with a small, bike-friendly downtown in between. 18 Road in the Book Cliffs is one climb up and a menu of smooth, fast descents, while the Kokopelli Loops trace ledges high above the Colorado River. Great for mixed groups, and the river is right there for an afternoon float.
